i9 9900k pricing

Not a mention of any cancellations on the deal post on that hot site in the UK

Well did anyone actually get one? Not seen a single person stating they got one or any pictures, but seeing post here and on reddit saying their order was cancelled.

Seems like everyone is trying to get their pound of flesh from the consumers now.. Smaller outfits can use the "excuse" we keep hearing but I imagine rainforest gets them way below market value and even they are trying it on now.

pulling a preorder like that is way out of line in my opinion, if someone did that to me, I would fight even if it was pointless just to get what I entered a purchase agreement for.

for a certian retailer

set their 9700k to "unavailable to the UK" now so maybe they are all focusing on their US customers

looks like someone isnt happy regional pricing barriers are been crossed :)

When competition costs less than £290 it is overprised at £470 let alone £600.

I couldn't care less about the competition, I'm more thinking of what it's superceeding. The 8700k, and the move to 9700k and the 9900k. I would expect that to be roughly the price it is (£468) comparing the price of 8700k etc

The release price is definitely normal from Intel's perspective, but I bet you we won't see price drops like we used to with CPU's like the Q6600, comes out at $850 in Jan '07, down to $530 bu April '07 and then another staggering reduction to $266 by June '07. If the 9900K followed that path it would put it at <$160 by April next year.

Oh, keep dreaming never going to happen these days :p

Tbh it might only be worth £160 if Zen2 lives up to the speculation lol

I hope zen2 is miles better, absolutely hammers it. I still wouldn't buy one but it keeps Intel on its toes and that's what we want.

I guess if you are not in the market for a CPU then fair enough, but if you are that is a very odd statement to make.

All you've learned from Intel tech what. Relearn how to use AMD what what?

You make it sound like a career change.

It's really nothing special.
