i have:

win10
i7 6700 cpu
gtx 2080
maximus viii hero mobo
evga 750g2
trident gskillz ddr4 ram x 16

i was thinking about the i9.

i need to weigh my options.

is an i9 overkill?

it seems like the logical step up to fit with the 2080.

how much difference would it make?

oh well, that atleast solves that problem.

there is no way i am going to upgrade any time soon :)

hypothetically, how much difference would an i9 have over an i7 if used with a 2080?

is am curious about diminishing returns etc?
