Hi all new to forums if im in the wrong place sorry.

I was wondering if someone could give me some advice on my current temp readings. as im on my first complete self build and first time overclocking

Current build is:

i5 9600k overclocked to 5.0ghz on 1.325vcore
z390 aorus pro WIFI
cool master 240 ml AIO running a fan sandwich on the radiator
corsair vengeance 2x8 gb kit running at 2444hz
corsair 550m psu
250gb wd black ssd
1tb wd 3.5 sata hdd
all in thermaltake view 28 rgb riing edition case, ( incase i ever went full water cooling)

ive run prime 95 for around 7 n 1/2 hours
im a bit confused as to my temp reading if its ok and not gonna explode or crap out on me.

As in hwinfo my max cpu temp is hitting 84 on 1 core the rest are maxed at 79 with my average being around the 75-79 mark

When checking in siv hardware monitor i see cpu temp at 70-75

I was wondering if the v core and temps are in a "safe zone" or if ive done something wrong to give me the various different readings.

Ive been told that anything over 1.3 on the 9600k is getting dangerous and to try and saty between 65-75 degrees area for my temps?.

Sorry if its a bit hard to understand and if im missing any info let me know ill try and update the post..

Thanks in advance

Considering the 5GHz clock speeds I'd say that's an OK temperature. Yes it's high but so is the overclock.

Is that the lowest voltage you can stay stable on? If you want lower temps you could either try to drop the voltage or drop core speed to 4.9 or so.

Hi and welcome to the forums. :)

Your temps are fine and they are not going to be that high in normal use anyway. Your voltage is fine as well. I am running my 9600k at 5Ghz core, 4.7Ghz uncore with 1.35v and have had no problems. The biggest problem I can see with your system is the slow memory. Fast memory of 3200mhz and over can make a considerable difference in certain games.

I have the same board as you but the non wifi version. Are you running the latest bios? It's very stable and is a complete redesign of the layout bringing it more into line with the layouts from the likes of Asus. It's a massive improvement.
