morning all - long time lurker here!

I've had a 9700k for quite a while now, thinking of replacing my battered tower case and going to the nice, smaller, Asus AP201 which is micro ATX.

Question is, which CPU to get? I was holding out for the 7800x3d to go back to £300-350 ish or so, but only seems to be getting more expensive, so was going to plump for 9700x.

any thoughts? I quite like its energy efficiency given the smaller case...

I mostly game on the PC, but do some very low powered productivity stuff

At 4K gaming the lower end CPU`s compare well to the upper range of CPU`s. The X3D ones are a really good upgrade for 1080p.

So what resolution do you use most of the time ?

I would imagine the 9600X is a very good 4K gaming option when considering price and efficiency.

I would hold out for a 9800X3D, or a used 7800X3D.
I am kinda holding out for Black Friday sales but on OCUK the "black Friday Sales" are just stuff they had discounted before November started (like the 12th gen processors etc)

Wonder if any other deals\bundles appear on the 24th or before because at the moment the current deals are not great at all.

Black Friday deals in the UK are kind of a joke more often than not.
