No point to this thread other than to lord it over 95% of the rest of you lot :p

I've never personally really understood the idea behind IAM, but then I've not really read up on it. My current view is just that they say you're a sensible driver...which we can all manage for a day's course. :p

I passed at 20, and that was nearly nine years ago.

Just make sure you keep paying attention to the things you learned or were reinforced as part of the training.

I'm quite happy (but ashamed) to admit that some of things things I learned started to slip when my daughter came along (perversely, when my driving should have become even 'safer') and I'm trying to pick those points back up, now.

Congratulations, all the same.

Great, but can you reply on facebook, singing out loud, and do your makeup, whilst driving with one knee. :p

Does it reduce your insurance?

I didn't pay for it either and I believe I was the youngest in the area to pass at 19 :p

Beat you there. Matthew.m and I did it whilst we were 18. Got in the local paper for it. :p

It doesnt reduce my insurance as I'm a company car driver.

What does this course entail? Apart from a musty old man telling you've been driving wrong since you passed your test?

Driving to a higher standard of driving. Safer etc

Nice one. :) Just remember not to drive on the wrong side of the road all the time. :p
