Hi all

I cannot find anything definitive on Technet or Google so hoping someone can shed some light on this for me. Does IAS have to be installed on a domain controller or is a domain member ok?

I have to decommission a Win2K3 domain controller which is currently running IAS and I do not want to break IAS. I will eventually migrate it to NPS on 2K8 but that will be further down the line, the priority right now is decommissioning this DC.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

We are running IAS for RADIUS auth for our user VPN's.

It is a standard Win2K3 server that is a member of the domain, it holds no DC roles at all
