Hello people,

I'm going to Ibiza beginning of July for a week, nothing booked nothing planned. Going with 2 girls and 2 guys does anyone have any recommendations for places to go and places to stay? I've been told pre planning is essential ( nothing is planned!) We are all approaching 30 so we want to party but probably not with the Nappa type of crowd and do some things during the day.

Stay in Ibiza Town or Playa Den Bossa. Avoid San Antonio.

You will spend a fortune. 10 euro bottle of water or about 28euros for a vodka redbull in the big clubs. Smaller clubs/bars are a lot cheaper though.

What kind of music do you like? There is a wide variety of events for different types of music so you need to know what to go to in advance.

Watch out for pick pockets in the big crowded clubs.

You may be tempted to go to Zoo project, I wouldn't unless you like being surrounded by a bunch of chavs wearing face paint.

The Bay is fine, it's the main San An thats a little chavvy and messy. The bars and restaurants along the promenade (Bay to San An) are all good, even some bars along the main marina of San An are good, just don't venture into the side streets (West end) that's where all the binge drinkers and kids party.

Lots of nice beaches to visit during the day but they will be packed. A day and or evening in Ibiza town is a must, visit the old town during the day and relax in the marina in the evening when its all lit up. Playa den Bossa is a pick pockets paradise.
 
A chap i work with went with a group of 15 young and old lads last year, in the first week one got pepper sprayed in an attempt to mug him, about 5 of them had money and phones pick pocketed and one of them got drug spiked just watch your back its ruthless there.

still one of the most satisfying moments was when we caught a pickpocket in space who had already got 3 of the girls in our group and alerted the bouncers, seeing him being choked out while squealing like a pig about to be slaughtered was a moment to remember.
 
Ooooo, good thread is good. Me and my mate were planning on a week trip (only Monday to Thursday) during the time I go back to the UK to visit family. We are both 30+ and I'll be honest, I'm worried we will be a bit out of touch. We have both wanted to go for years but never got round to it and don't fancy revisiting places we've been before.

Good to know some places have prices absolutely hiked! And thankfully neither of us take narcotics so we won't be robbed of that sort of thing.

Any other things to avoid?
