IBM Software.

Hi.
Does anyone here have any experiance with IBM software?

The reason being is that im having a few problems with the IBM power management software on my Thinkpad.
For some reason, it wont let me see, create or change power profiles under my main account, but under my backup administrator account, it functions normally? Its never done this in the past.
Ive tryed reinstalling, uninstalling then installing, changing my main account to limited, then back to adminstrator and all manor of combinations and more becides.

Can anyone give me some insight into how to fix this problem please?

At a guess its going to be something to do with the security chip. Try disabling it all together & see where that gets you.

The security chip only controls the fingerprint software thing though.
Cant see how it could affect the battery gauge, but i'll give it a try.

Hmm interesting...
Rarther than disable the chip, i decided to recreate my authentication profile:
It gets to the bit where its enabling everything ive told it to, but then fails on the 'Updating user authentication information'. Maybe thats the cause?
Ideas?
