Ibm thinkpad replacement HD ?

hi guys i have recently purchased a ibm thinkpad t43 from the bay it has a hd problem with the message :

PXE-E61 : Media test failure, check cable
then message "Operating System not found

ive just been looking around the net and it seems this model is awkward to find a replacement hd for ?

can anyone point me in the right direction ?

I'd image any 2.5 inch IDE drive will do, maybe these.
