Just thought i would pass on some xmas cheer! just picked me up a IBM think pad T61P 2.5ghz dual core 4g DDR2 with a 15.4" 1920 x 1200 screen in mint condition.
So I treated it to a vertex 2 120G SSD i had win7 pro. updated the bios to a modded SATA 2 bios by middleton on the lenovo forums ( as originaly it was sata 1) just did a bench and got this on the HD. not bad for a 2008 machine.
This T61P with 4G DDR2 SSD ect is dam good and much faster than some of the lappys ive played with in PC world ect. also IBM build quality, it feels solid as a rock. The screen at 1920 X 1200 is fantastic for pictures and video.
so not bad for £150 + my vertex 2 SSD just new i would find a home for that.
anyway its been fun and somthing to do over xmas!
