Ibnez 8 String

Any guitarists like the look of this?

I was so tempted on buying on on tuesday but didnt.
If you had one, would you go for 2 extra bass strings, or one bass, and one high A?

one bass and one high A but alas I'm left handed so big no no for me until i custom build myself one lol...

pretty awesome though!

I'd personally go for the 2 low strings. Pure low end guitarige.

If I were a guitarist, I'd go for two low strings.
Being able to play Meshuggah > repeatedly breaking a high A

ahh but the high A is far better for high pitch widdling!

Plus it gives an extra top string for sweep arps which would just be great i think!! Although if it snapped it would cheese wire straight through your finger and lob it off I reckon lol!

But still.... good shredding on the high A!

the guitarist in my band is getting one if they're the right price (although I doubt they'll be anywhere near the word cheap) but it'll mean that i'll probably have to down tune my basses to G standard which im a bit skeptical about, firstly i dunno if my ashdown can handle low G and if my strings won't be too floppy.

Should be good though.
