No i don't know what any other versions woulld run like i might look to buy an external harddrive and some ram. What ram would i have to get and would any hard drive be ok?

The hard disk will likely be just plain old 2.5" PATA. The RAM slot will take a PC133 SODIMM up to 512 MiB. There is also non-removable RAM built-in that's either 64 or 128 MiB.

As OS X matured through its first three or four versions they got faster with each revision. 10.3 on my PowerMac runs much faster than 10.1 did.

If you don't want it i'd buy it at that price :)

I'd recommend getting a copy of Tiger if you can.. I got my sister a 400Mhz G3 iMac a while back and it runs Tiger and Office quite nicely.. much better than the Panther it came with.. pretty impressive considering how "out of date" they are.

Sorry for not replying using a windows till i get a wireless card and it keeps crashing. I sorted out the screensaver thanks.
What is the difference between panther lepord and OSX n all this business i seriously don't have a clue

Thankyou ive swotted up on Macs now :L now i am thinking about purchasing a wireless card or airport card. Would i be able to use a Airport extreme card which are on the apple website for £30? Or does my ibook not support it? Thanks again pat

Come on guys does anyone know if my ibook 0.5GHZ processor and 64mb ram and a 10gb Hard drive will support an airport extreme card?

Nope doesn't support Airport Extreme (b/g) as it's too old, you might be able to pickup an old Airport (b) card on that well known auction site. Could prove to be pricey though usually go for £40 range, have a look though anyway.
