Am I right in saying iBooks will not be available for the 3G only the 3GS and iPhone4?

I find this very hard to understand because suerly the 3G is capable of running this app, it's hardly doing anything that special.

Smell of Apple trying to get 3G owners to upgrade...

Sometimes they are definitely business decisions rather than capability-based ones... the 2G for example doesn't have the ability to do MMS - even with the latest software

Not seen it confirmed anywhere but I would be annoyed if this was the case.

Seems like a nice way to collate all my PDF's which do not need a state of the art system to run on.

I'm alright going without wallpapers and multitasking (I've enabled them before and it did not go well) but I don't see any reason iBooks won't come to the 3G.

Well its on the ipod touch 3g. Though the ipod has speeds of the 3gs i think so.
BUT its not the smoothest quickest app, had a few problems with it.
Though i doubt i will ever use it! Genius though how the turning page things work.

I have iBooks on the iPhone 3g and it's unusable. I'm unable to successfully turn pages after the first few and have to reset the app.
