Right, I know Mac's rarely become sluggish over time and that they handle themselves pretty well but I couldn't notice on the App Store this little App iBoostUp was first on the free downloads.

Checked the reviews all seemed positive I believe it's getting 4.5 out of 5..

It is just a simple interface with everything in one place, clearing cache, cookies, system rubbish then verifying disks etc to maintain boot time. Here is the website and you can also find it in the App Store it may be worth checking it out.

All it does is let you activate cleaning and maintenance scripts which you could do yourself from the terminal with a little bit of Google. Same for verify disks etc, why not just use Mac OS X's own 'Disk Utility'?

Please don't take the post as negativity at yourself, it's just negativity towards these pointless apps.

I do see your point but for a 1.2MB download to be able to do all of those things in basically two clicks makes it easier for most of us. Without sounding like Im having a strop back to your opinion.
