In my opinion it's simply not worth it. I also had both types in the free trial and it made very little difference in my rig over my MX-2. If i remember right it was around 0.5 degree better on my cpu load temps. It made no difference to my gpu temps at all. Perhelion was worse performing than MX-2 on my rig. The IC stuff is a pain to work with as well. Really thick and quite hard to remove. I went straight back to my MX-2 after i finished the trial.
Use MX4, spreads well, just put a small pea sized blob in the middle of your CPU, screw down the heatsink the correct way. About a week later just tighting the screws up a touch more as the TIM will have settled down.
