Hi mate, I was going to post a thread with a MAHOOSIVE OP for the world cup, looks like you've saved me the effort :p

And I see you've missed out the windies squad

West Indies squad: Darren Sammy (capt), Chris Gayle, Dwayne Bravo, Darren Bravo, Kieron Pollard, Ramnaresh Sarwan, Devon Smith, Sulieman Benn, Nikita Miller, Carlton Baugh (wk), Andre Rusell, Ravi Rampaul, Kemar Roach, Shivnarine Chanderpaul, Adrian Barath.

Looking at England's selection, I personally would have picked Davies over Prior, he's made a promising start and looks to be an agressive opener.

The India squad is exactly as I predicted it to be, with the exception of Piyush Chawla. I thought that Pragyan Ojha would be given a place ahead of Chawla. Ojha is an excellent spinner. Yes, Chawla can also bat a bit, but given India's team, if Chawla plays at all, the highest he'll be in the order is around 9 or 10. Does India need someone at 9 who can bat, or someone at 9 who can bowl?

Full fixture list, and if anyone wants it, I'll put the start times too :)

Eden Gardens has been canned as the venue for England v India as it won't be ready in time. Disgraceful really, as the ICC has been sending inspection teams for a month or two and advised that a couple of stadiums need to get a move on.

How many times are they going to flog that dead horse which is ravi? England are really lacking in the bowling department if the injured don't return. So long as the Aus don't win i'll be happy

Playing World Cup fantasy cricket is hard. I really don't know who to put in my team :\ I had Praveen Kumar and Mike Hussey, but they've both been injured. I'm gutted for Praveen :(

Atm my team is looking like this:

Amla (captain, gets double points)
Sehwag
Kohli
M Jayawardene
Y Pathan
Watson
Perera
Sangakkara
Southee
M Patel
N Miller

Any suggestions for who to take out and put in? I've got a few flair players there, and a few consistent performers. I'm just concerned that the competition is in india and I've got only 2 spinners

You'll be happy then ;)

I think that Trott will do pretty. He's a similar player to Amla. It's not like he's a hard hitting slogger, but he still gets big scores at competitive strikerates.

I thought about Morkel, also thought about Mathews, but it seems that he's a very competent bastmen and a decent, but not too much of an expert in either.

I might put morkel in actually, but who to take out...
