Hello chaps, I've owned my current monitor for about 18 months and not really tried to calibrate it or use a profile at all. The more I read the more I feel I might be missing out on improving my picture on screen. Thing I'm not too sure how to actually run one of these profiles and it may sound daft but could you do damage to your monitor if anything goes wrong. Also I've read that some steam games do not like to run through these profiles. Could you guys point me in the right direction and is it worth installing one of these profiles.....cheers ..oh btw my monitor is a Asus vg278he

Yu will find icc profiles for your monitor at tftcentral. Right click on desktop, click display settings / advanced display settings / display adapter properties / colour management / tick use my settings and you can add a profile from there. Look for a review on tftcentral they know there stuff, see what they have to say about your screen. Not all monitors need it my new Dell gsync did benefit from the use of a profile. Don't think you can harm your screen by using one and I don't know about steam having problems. you can always reset your screen if it has detrimental effects.
