Right , bearing in mind the time of year AND the weather.

WHY did i see an ice cream van whilst walking into town last night?

Not only that, but it had the music going as if someone would actually buy one!

to be honest i was looking for a pint, not an ice cream!

2 ice cream vans (or pokies as ppl over here call them :p ) come round here every night about 7:30pm. No matter what time of yr it is and how cold it is, ice cream always goes down well.

Because maybe, to contrary belief, Ice Cream Van drivers do not make a huuuuge ammount if money in summer so still have to work in the winter...

Smart Ice Cream men can make an absolute killing in the summer.

Do you think they compete, like the kebab vans in town, they all compete to get the best spot for the drunken rabble to walk past

They've always been out 365 days a year up here. Some of them selling wraps of heroin and other filth alongside the ice cream, dodgy fags and booze to under agers.

My daughter still can't understand why they only play their music when they've no ice cream left ;)

Aye yas are right about the other dodgy goods on sale like!, i remember the icey selling fireworks near my mates house :D

i remember when i was young there used to be a poo brown van that used to drive round the estates selling sweets.....oh and drugs , fags and stolen goods :p

same here nearly all year
the guy must be doing well, who sell his ice cream here has he has invested £40000 on a brand new van
and went to Japan for 2 weeks over xmas

Our sells all kinds of guff, from icecream and drinks, to fags, sweets, and catfood and other houshold items!

As do the cigarettes that they sell to the kids .

I sometimes go out to the pokie to get icecream, especially when the house is warm but i've noticed that the size of a £1 tub has almost halved in size over the last few years which i'm not impressed about.

There's one playing the 'Match of the Day' song near my estate right now. Nothing wrong with an ice cream in the winter but I would only buy them from the shop, wrapped. I don't trust those 99s, germs and that.
