Needs to be CDA format as in normal cd audio, not sure on free programs to do this, buy nero on-line from the website and you can download it from the homepage right away, or the demo might let you burn a few cd's.
You probably have Windows Media Player installed if you're using Windows. I use version 10 to burn CDs for my car. Just insert a blank CD, click on the Burn tab, select a few MP3s in Windows Explorer and drag them into left hand window inside WMP. Then just hit "Start Burn", wait 5-10 minutes then take the CD down to the car.
Make sure they're not CD-RW as quite a few (mainly older) units have trouble with them. All the ones I've come across, in my experience play regular CD-R's without a problem.
the discs im using are SONY CD-R 700 1x-48x compatible. What ill do is try them in someone elses car then i know its definately not me burning them wrongly.
