I've got an MX1000 and an Icemat 2nd Edition.

The padsurfs simply don't work. I've had to put about 30 layers of selotape on the mouse pads to keep it gliding smoothly on the mat. After a day, the tape gets run down and I need to add even more layers!

Should this be happening?

sellotape is rubbish for that. not a lot more i can say :/

i expect the hard glass surface rubs down the tape quicker than a plastic mat. however i had no probs with 'surfers and the Icemat. although i the icemat was pants anyway.

I bought a load of teflon tape of ebay really cheap. I only had to replace it every month of so and it is nice and smooth.

Also be sure to clean the icemat every few weeks... after a good clean and new tape, it can go for a month or so, and its silky smooth, i love it (this is with a copperhead)
