Yeah but Sennheiser stuff is actually good. Don't compare a gaming headset to proper headphones.

Totally quoted for truth.

Have a pair of Beyerdyknamic DT 770 Pro's. Wicked cans.. :)

ditto
and ditto
ive got Beyer DT770/80's too
i run them straight from my X-fi - no amp. theyre loud enough for sure ! ( plus my amps a bit crap for headphoens :( )

they're just like one big eargasm.
ive heard most of the 'gaming headsets' including the terrible medusa and theyre just rubbish IMO.

for Gaming you need high quality cans, with a nice big soundstage, and preferably closed to provide better sound isolation if your goign to noisy lan parties.
i use CMSS-3D too which is IMO brilliant for games but crap with music.

Depends on the model of Sennheiser. I had a pair of Sennheiser P130s and there were dire compared to my Icemat Siberias. You pay for what you get most of the time. In saying that I'm thinking of getting a set of Bose Triports.

Why is people hate bose so much. I have worn them before and the sound quality was fine, I thought for the price. As well they look cool and I could where them on the bus without feeling like a tard *cough* Siberias * cough*. Can you recommend a pair with the same quality of comfort, looks, sound, and also they must be noise canceling for a similar price. £100

I did see someone on the bus with those once. I looked them up to see if they were noise cancelling, you say they are so ok. But I noticed looking them up "the phones use 3 drivers for high, mid and low frequencies". This seems bizarre since crossovers are generally undesireable and with headphones a full frequency band can be covered with a single driver easily (not many speakers can do this, but a lot of fanatics say the ones that can sound much more coherant by not using crossovers). Just struck me as odd, sort of using technology for the sake of it. A single wide range driver would procude better sound.

Anyhow, I don't really know any alternatives since they are noise cancelling and that isn't especially common. So long as you like them you may as well get them.
