iChat + Chat Room = OcUK

Anyone notice that on iChat you can now create 'Chat Rooms' or has this always been there?

I have just created a room called 'OcUK' .....

Open iChat, log in with your me.com address and go to;
File > Go To Chat Room > Enter OcUK and Come in n lets chat.

EDIT: (For Info)
You can join AIM based Chat rooms with a AIM Based Name (@me.com, @mac.com or AIM)

That's cool. I was testing it out to see if it would work and it does so in future I guess a few of us will lurk around in iChat :cool:

That's why you can't connect to the room thats for OcUK. I just read up on it and it fails to connect when you don't have a @me, @mac or AIM email addy.

Everyone just create a @me.com account

It's an AIM service not Google service. That's what the article said on the Apple support pages.

You need a @mac.com ~ @me.com email address.
