I enabled iCloud drive back up when i installed sierra the other month, and have found this keeps a 'back up' of my desktop in the cloud. While sometimes useful i also find it a problematic.
Im often away from home with work and need to temporarily store large files on my desktop - this then often brings flaky hotel internet or my 4g tethered access to a crawl as i realise iCloud is trying to 'upload' 20 gigs worth of files
If i turn 'off' the feature i seems apple have made it so it deletes everything on my desktop.
Is there anyway to have a 'folder' on the desktop that doesn't get backed up, or to turn it off without loosing everything on my desktop?
