iCLoud

It works, very well. If you own a Mac it is a godsend, and will get even better when Mountain Lion comes out.

However, if you're only using it for email, calendars and contacts and you are already using another service, it isn't really worth the hassle in all honesty.
 
It all depends what device you're using it on and what you're hoping to get from it.

I mainly use iCloud to backup my iPhone and iPad and it's good to know that everything is backed up somewhere other than my laptop in case the hard disk dies. I still find myself backing up to iTunes as well though because restoring from an iCloud backup is a pain; it re-downloads all of your apps from the App Store which can take an age, whereas restoring from iTunes is much much quicker.

The same can be said for iTunes Match which is a great service, but I dread restoring my phone as I know I'll have to go through my music library, select everything I want to be downloaded locally to the phone and then wait while it downloads around 10GB of music.

I think people with lightning fast internet connection might not find it such a problem but I have a 5meg connection at home so the experience can be pretty painful.
