Just visited a high street stores site and they are re-releasing ICO for purchase the same day ICO 2 comes out. Its only 17.99 aswell!!!! sweet

I dont know, I think it would be really hard to appreciate the lighting effects on such a small screen, but then again it may look better due to the reduced screen size. My only gripe with ICO is that after coming off pc games ICO seems to suffer from such a low res. It would be amazing if they released ICO 1 and 2 on the pc

Ico 2 = Shadow of the Collosus. I don't believe it's a straight sequel.

Holy Thread resurrection, Batman. There I've said it.

Anyroad, I am really stuck on this. I'm at the Waterfall level and am in a room with some kind of piston. I'm sure the piston is supposed to propel you somewhere as you get on it and are flung so far in the air but I can't figure out where you're supposed to be trying to get to.

Has anyone got any help for me?

But I'll put you out of your misery - I had the same problem too man! - it took me literally hours to figure that one out. It's simple really. You just need to jump precisely when the piston goes up. It will take a fair number of goes to get it right. Hope this helps. Post back and let me know how you get on...

Just keep trying.... there must be some kind of switch or something. Possible something to do with lowering the water level in the canal so you'll be able to move a block accross it I remember vaguely....

Thanks for the tip. I did manage to time the jump just perfectly and by a miracle you jump so fast you grab onto the ledge.

Anyhow, I've just finished it. What an amazing adventure. Thoroughly enjoyed it. 9/10 from me. It was a good mix of puzzle solving, acrobatics and fighting. I particularly enjoyed the Queen battle at the end. Just goes to show that even at 240p resolution, games can still be awe-inspiring

On to Shadow of the Colossus next...

Decided to replay it the other day, got stuck on literally the last part with the rotating drums. Soo bloody unforgivable that part. Needless to say I still need to complete it a 2nd time

Doesnt something different happen in the final cut scene on the beach, the second time you complete it?

EDIT: Think I deleted the old save game before starting it again, so it'll only see me as completing it for the first time. You almost had me then ;D

Hehe. I'm serious though. I'm not sure if it refers to the NTSC version or the PAL version, but I definately remember reading that something different happens on the beach at the end of your second completion.

Alternative Ending
The game must already have been completed in order for this to work. Right at the end of the game when Ico wakes up on the beach, make your way all the way over to where the cliffs are and continue your way up the beach. Along the way you should come across a large rock, there should also be a couple of watermelons situated near this large rock. Pick up one of these watermelons and proceed up the beach until you reach Yorda. You will now be treated with a slightly humurous end video. This does not work on the US version of the game.
