Icon Text Background Colours

I have just done another fresh install on my sister's machine.

The Icons on the desktop have text, behind this text is a colour which you can select by "right click >> Properties >> Desktop >> Colour"

How do you get rid of this colour behind the text of the icons ?

On my computer behind the icon text is just the colour of the background.

I can illustrate if my description is poor, as it usually is.

would be nice to share how you fixed it! but i assume it was the "lock desktop icons" option was enabled.

right click my computer, properties, advanced, performance>settings, tick the box 'use drop shadows for icon labels on the desktop'.
