just setup a nas box the icy box IB-NAS902-B i can connect through usb/esata...but when i try to connect through the network it asks for a password...ok i can see it on my network aswell...the password it is asking for looks like a network password...i have that switched off....even if i have it switched on and put the network password in it still will not connect through the network....has anyone got any ideas on this thanks.

Never knew IcyBox made an NAS, take it you tried the default username/password etc. Also is it brand new if not some else made had change the password.
yeah done all that it when trying to connect through your normal network its saying my network on my pc has a password...ive used the one that sets it up through network sharing but that doesnt work.

You normally have to setup accounts via The admin interface which can be accessed by entering its ip address in your browser this should all be covered in the manual

Did you get any suit of CD with it? This should run you through the steps you need to get it set up and running, which will include the account set up too
