Hi All,

I purchased from Overclockers an Icy Dock MB559 Series external hard drive.
Unfortunately the power Adapter has stopped working and now I need to get another.
It is not under guarantee but Overclockers says it does not carry the adapter.

It seems a shame to have to get another just for the power adapter. I enclose a picture of the one I need.
Although I have seen them on some American sites the postage would be too much to make it an option.

My problem is that it is a four pin, +5V on two pins and +12V on the other two with a ground on the outer casing,
all I seem to see with this model number is a five pin option. Does anyone know where I can get one or an equivalent?

Another with the same specs is a SAW34-12.0/5.0-2000, but I have the same problem as the one above, this model
number now also shows a different configuration.

I figure someone may have had to get on at sometime, I have dropped a mail to Icy Dock as well.
Google has only returned ebay in America or some American sites.

Thanks in Advance

If you are semi competent with a soldering iron you could pick up a 12v/5v power supply off eBay and solder the connector on. The ones on eBay sometimes have molex connectors on them so would be easy to work with.

Thanks Tealc but I was not sure I would get it right.

I have however found a supplier who was willing to help.
If anyone has the same problem with finding a four pin adapter,
drop a email to Craig at [email protected] or ring 01228 511392.

They do not stock them but were willing to do me a conversion,
no problems so far with a quick turnround.
