I bought an IcyBox IB-553SSK sometime ago and I needed it working asap. I installed it but could never suss out why one of the tray led's didnt light up. I just left it but now im wondering if it can be fixed with some decent rework tools and somebody with good soldering skills.
Ive attached a piccy of what im on about:
Second tray power led never lights up? But the green activity led does. The drive inside the tray works no problems but I did have a drive kick the bucket in that slot some time ago. I hoped the led would be ok but no dice. The led is one of those tiny smt things and im wondering if one can be sourced.
I suppose the icybox could be rma'd but then I will loose the 3 drives for a period of time which I cant afford.
