Just got this pack myself, very nice to see all the old Raven games in there as well. Great value at around £35. Any word on what kind of enhancements the Doom engine games use? I'm used to using jDoom, and it would be nice to see something similar.

Their the same as the orignal games, except tweaked slighly to make them compatible with new operating systems.

Edit- actually their just using DosBox so no changes from the orignals at all...

Just bought the complete pack, with tax works out to £36

I've played through all these before, but I'm up for some nostalgia now:)

Going to go through these:

Keen - all 5 episodes (wondering why keen dreams and aliens ate my babysitter aren't included)
Wolfenstein
Spear of Destiny
Ultimate Doom
Doom master levels
Doom 2
Final Doom
Heretic
Heretic: Shadow of the Serpent Riders
Hexen
Hexen: Deathkings of the Dark Citadel
Hexen 2 (where's hexen 2 expansion?)
Heretic 2
Quake
Quake: Scourge of Armagon
Quake: Dissolution of Eternity
[Skip quake 2 and expansions, I have them already and as I still play q2 online it would be a bit pointless]
Quake 3 Arena
Doom 3 & expansion (might skip these, lol)

Should keep me busy while waiting for Bioshock:D

whats wrong with doom 3 and exp? I have them downloading through steam now, i enjoyed doom 3 when i first played, and ive found some cool looking graphics mods and stuff for it, and never playd the expansion.

Not impressed at all with the DOSBox mess. Firstly none of them will run as it defaults to 640x400, which isn't supported by my monitor causing the DOSBox to die. Granted it's probably easy to remedy, but since all of the wad files are easy to get at in Steam/steamapps/common I guess I'll just dump them into Doomsday's excellent engine. Still, I got the pack mainly for RTCW and the quake 2 and 3 expansion packs so it's not much of an issue, but it's still bad form not to even talk to the creators of DOSBox let alone not include their readmes and any other trace of their documentation.

Unfortunately they're just not very good. I played through them both and found them 'entertaining' but not as good as the stuff ID turned out when they were at their best. I've opted to install them so I'll see how they are on a second go.

wtf, i played doom 3 for a bit, closed down, then ran it again, and now its asking for a cd key  i dont have one?

Maybe these versions don't need cd keys, does it let you through if you click whatever else is on screen?

no, if i click cancel it just shuts down the game. Maybe, because theres already a doom 3 key in it, but no one in the RoE i need to have RoE fully downloaded aswell (only at 75% atm)
