Hi There,

My son loves his gaming and streaming online but when he changes screens and during heavier graphics games his camera can become lower quality and it can glitch a bit.

Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-4460 CPU @ 3.20GHz 3.20 GHz
Installed RAM 16.0 GB
Graphics Card NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050ti
System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor

Is there a simple option to speed things up?

Many thanks in advance!

In order to advise better we need to know how much you’re willing to spend. A better graphics card will help but they’re massively overpriced and in very short supply!

that cpu is 4 cores..if you're gaming and streaming you may be reaching the limit the cpu can handle, as cpu is used in gaming as well as gpu. Has he checked the % utilisation while playing/streaming

That's the CPU choking, nothing to do with the GPU. IMO you need a minimum of a 6 core CPU for streaming. You'd need a new mobo and CPU as Haswell was limited to 4 cores on the mainstream. The most you could do on that system would be to buy a devil's canyon 4790k but they are a bit overpriced for what they are today.

If replacing I'd go 8 core.. Leave 6 for gaming and the other 2 for streaming and backround stuff... Some games utilise more cores still... Then again, all comes down to cost. Maybe wait till 12th gen intel chips are out, and see price/performance against buying previous gen, though would go down ryzen route for that..
