I've been looking for this one for a while but the description is so generic that I never find it :p :o

I vaguely recall the trailer and earmarked it as something to watch. I think this was in the 2010s (most likely) but it could have been from earlier I suppose.

Family move into a house / cabin / community. Spooky stuff happens. Set in what seems like rural USA. Possibility some religious / cultish thing. Possibly set in 1800s! Trailer had an emphasis on unseen stuff going on outside in the woods (maybe). Family had at least one daughter but I think two.

Ring any bells? It's definitely not Cold Manor Creek :p

It’s also not ‘The Visit’ or ‘The Hallow’.

As my memory is wonky, it might just be a thriller and not necessarily supernatural. But there was a ‘cult with torches and pitchforks’ sort of feel to it.
 
Nope, not Crimson Peak!

Maybe I’ve all led you astray with the time period.

My memory recalls there being quite a lot of ‘warm light’ in the trailer - from lanterns or candles.

Yup totally impossible I know :D
