Hi all,
don't know if this is worth it anybody but I thought id post it up just in case, and further to my Intel Speed Response Tech issue I posted the other day.
****TIP******
Your Bios is set to IDE but you want to change it to RAID
You change to RAID and you get a BOSD, You must re-install Windows in order to get windows to boot with your BIOS set to RAID(XHD) and that's a pain.
So if your board has other SATA Controllers my board GA-z68x-ud4-b3 has the Intel controller (which I wanted to set to RAID) and the Marvell controller.
MAKE SURE YOU INSTALL THE OTHER CONTROLLLERS DRIVERS BEFORE MOVING STUFF AROUND!
I moved my Boot drive to the Marvell Controller making sure the Marvell controller was set to IDE, then I rebooted in to windows and then installed the Drivers for the Intel controller (windows immediately noticed the change anyway) and the Software to get ISRT working.
I then shut down the PC moved the Boot Drive back to the Intel Controller and re-connected the SSD.
Booted it up and.... yeah baby it all worked.... without re-installing windows
Possibly this is common knowledge, but if it helps others then its all good. I have always used RAID controller cards so never really looked at IDE/RAID stuff in the BIOS.
