Hi guys,

Just reformatted and am using a IDE to sata convertor on one for my HDD's...

Windows vista has detected it but is asking me to initalize the hdd in "compuer managment" which fails.. why???

I have used this IDE to SATA convertor many times and it has worked, why is it throwing a tantrum now?

What can I do so windows recognises my HDD?

Help...

Thanks in advance..

I dont think thats the ADapter thatst he issue.

I think its more likely that since you have reinstalled, that you are currently using a different driver to the one that you had previously... Make sure that all the SATA / IDE / Mobo drivers are all up to date and it will probably see the drive properly again!
