What do we think for this CPU?

Mine idle sits roughly between 29C and 34C.

I ran intel burntest yesterday, defualt settings (Opened program up and presed start)

Highest temp i got was around 60/62C

What do we class as ideal temps for this CPU? Idle and Underload. Ive seen that many numbers being thrown around!

what heatsink are you using also what paste? all these play a factor in your Temps for your CPU

ive got my I5 OC'd at 4.5Ghz 1.3v and getting 57 degrees max temp with my Coolermaster V8 at full load with prime 95.

usualy while playing games im at 42degrees and idle around the 22 - 25 mark i think these are ideal personaly, especialy with a 36.4% OC on my end.

also id try and keep it below 65 full load

Using Freezer 13 Pro. Tweaked the fan PWM a little on it too!

The thermal paste im using is the stuff that comes on the bottom of the freezer pro. Not sure what it is, guessing it would be there own?

With my PWM Tweaks idle my CPu sits around 32/34c (I've kncocked about 500RPM off when at idle. 1100 down to about 600/650RPM.

With no tweaks it sits around 29C idle.

29c is really nice, getting 27 - 29 atm from cold boot here, just got back from college reason for the late response.

the thermal paste is Arctic mx-2 you get pre applied although not the best it does the job.

your temps look fine tho, but if your not satisfied with them you can always replace your thermal paste to something like Arctic Silver 5 or even Coollaboratory Liquid Pro ( http://www.overclock3d.net/reviews/cases_cooling/battle_of_the_goop_thermal_paste_comparison/5 ) comparision of the two

also have you oc'd your cpu?

Don't have an overclock, running st stock speeds. Like i said. I rebuilt system from scratch hoping to bring down the noise as much as possible.

Been monitoring temps this afternoon.

Basic web browsing (29c-40c)
Idle (30c-35c)
45 Min Video, Watched through TV DVIHDMI Connection. (33c-42c. Peaked at 42c, not sure if it was on 42c for the full amount of time, im guessing not)

Havent tested under gaming load.

I do have some Arctic Silver 5 kicking about somewhere. Guessing it wouldn't make much of a difference though.

If you are at 60C or less under full load you have nothing to worry about from temps. My replacement CPU came with a dodgy cooler and under load it hit 73C. After I fitted a proper but low cost cooler the max load temp dropped to 60C. I then overclocked it a bit , fitted 3 case fans and get max load temps of around 50C.

Yeah, they were around 60c when i ran Intel Burn test.

Awaiting 2 new fan controllers so i can get my other 2 fans wired up.

Hopefully then my airflow will improe and i can lower the CPU Fan a little more ;)

Mine, overclocked to 4.4 with a coolermaster v8 is running at idle 29 and load (folding@home) of 60-62. Only using cheap thermal compound though.
