Ideal Temperature for my Processor?

Hey Guys,

I would really appreciate your help! I'm an amateur when it comes to building computers: I built mine a few years ago and my heatsink and fan were horrendously loud so today I brought myself a Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo and spent the last 3 hours installing it. I spent the majority of my time trying to sort out the thermal paste and I'm paranoid I've done it wrong...

I was wondering what sort of temperature should I expect it to all to be? My processor is a AMD Phenom ii X6 - I've downloaded SpeedFan and it says my "Core" temperature is currently 25 degrees C which sounds brilliant but I just wanted to check that is right?

Ah...

I tried RealTemp but it says my processor isn't supported... Any other programs I can try?

Playing a bit of Counter Strike: GO (my last heatsink used to go crazy in that game), it says my Core is now 30C. :-\ GPU seems to go up to around 50/60 though?

Besides, the temperatures you're experiencing are really good.

I was sceptical because with a core temp of 26 degrees seems very unlikely in the average 21-23 degree room without some kind of active cooling, water or refrigeration

Nope, normal English bedroom! Strange. I ran the IntelBurnTest program you suggested with "10 runs" and the results were consistent - All ten said 3.257006e-002 as their result so I guess all is ok!

Just tried this HWMonitor program and all cores are around 26 degrees C so I'm gonna say I did a good job!!!
