Ideas for a Job.

Nah, Start on April 4th.

It's a screenshot from a little sim I mess around with called London Control. You can totally customise the labels but I believe they are supposed to be defaulted to how they look on the real LL FIN. In what way are they wrong? I'll endeaver to change them :D

*edit* Just noticed. The "stars" should be yellow or hollow boxes. *edit*

The targets and trails are ok, green star and orange diamonds in the train but the altitude readout is wrong. Altitudes are expressed in 2 digit numbers, i.e. 3400 feet would be "34" with no letter "A" whereas flight levels are expressed as 3 digit numbers, FL75 being "075".

Anyway, ignore me :p
Have fun at the college. I'm sure we'll run into one another some day in the future.:)

wow, where did that come from? You obviously haven't been following this thread lol.

Oh and scuzi, you can bet now if the neoduder hasn't seen the OcUK gallery will be asking every guy he see's "are you scuzi?" "are you scuzi?" "scuzi?" "are you scuzi?" lol

Actually the thread was about ideas for a job for myself, not about your little escapade to be an air traffic controller so hes probably more on topic than you :p

Joking aside, best of luck to those who are applying to be an ATC. Looks like an amazing job. Best of luck

My advice would be find anything and learn to drive asap. A driving license opens up so many opportunities its silly. Im 23 and cant drive and im looking for a new job atm, Ive just been accepted to do some work in a restaurant with whatever they require and as many hours as I can get so i can afford to learn to drive. When ive done that i can walk into appretence gas fitter jobs, plumbers etc.

Stick at it mate and chin up

Driving is a bigger bonus than people realise, and take for granted, when you can't it's a sudden shock and realisation. My job hunting is on hold while I retest for my licence

Tip, once driving, never go up a no entry road in a town at 4am, no matter how deserted it may be, CCTV is always watching, and cops are always nearby waiting for them to direct them to you and give you 3 points

Ouch.

Yeah I'm learning to drive now, While I've been looking the number of job's where little experiance but a driving licence is essential is supprising.

Anyway, 18 Hours of driving lessons so far. :) With my [lack of] driving skills its going to take more than I was hoping for. Probably around 30-40ish. Also dosent help as I haven't had any private hours yet. But once I get that all important pay cheque (or my overpaid tax back) I'll soon rack up some private hours :)

Could probably do it in less with an instructor who is willing to move things along a bit faster, but I really get on with my current one and I do learn things very quickly with him. I'll run out my hours I've got left on the books and see where we stand.

I was put in for my first test after 12 hours of lessons (6x2hour), failed with a major caused by someone else (always the way), then retested after another 3 lessons and passed, total of 18 hours of lessons.
