As title really.

17 years old school leaver. No special experiance etc :( No special skills, well apart from computers but thats pretty meaningless without a quilification.

I've totally run out of ideas now. Can't get anything.

Don't have the money to relocate either which is a PITA. Would happly just **** off somewhere else in the country and do something. Had it with Reading

Gaaaah.

what are your interests.

have a look at apprenticeships and go a wander to the jobcentre for some advice/local jobs

Just do temp office work or something for a year or two. Pretty useful in getting work experience and you might find you get a job out of it at the end.

If you can prove a genuine passion for IT and eagerness to learn, I'm sure a local IT consultancy or similar will take you on.

Otherwise, any job is better than no job. Get yourself a job in a supermarket/McDonalds/anything - it will look far better to any prospective future employer than being on the dole! (sorry if I'm making an incorrect assumption here)

Don't worry I refuse to claim. I got a roof over my head so I don't need it.

As for any job. Tell me about it. I've spend a month now - Have applied for 30-40 things and got absolutly no where. (Had 2 interviews).

Hence im totally stuck.

Had a strock of luck in that theres a nice big new tescos down the road. Although its in the middle of all the polskis so i clearly wont get a reply.

Oh and as for the army they wont take me becuase I have asthma :( need a doctors note saying im 3 years clear which isn't that case!

Ah my advice would have been not to mention it at the careers office but to mention it at your first medical on camp.

When i first joined up (January 2001) i should have disclosed a court case and my hayfever but knew it would affect me so i just "forgot" to tell them and then when i was in and started training it all came flooding back.

Things have probably changed a bit since then though but you could always ask the advice of the careers officer.

Can't get anything.

Now you really arent looking hard enough. There are plenty of jobs for unqualified people.

Try tesco, they pay a little bit more than most places.
The toyota plant near me pays 22k starter wage (2weeks days 2weeks nights on a rota) and you dont need qualifications for that just a good interview (obv you would need to be 18 though).
How about a job that gets paid more cos its hard/crappy IE binman, window cleaner.

Do an apprentiship? (sp?)
Do alevels?

Theres literally 1000s of options available:) Just dont work at maccy d's....
