Hi,

I am looking for an efficient (better than stock), quiet, low profile (less than 80mm high) cooler, for an Intel 2500K CPU on a micro ATX motherboard.

It should include a fan, and I would prefer a four pin plug, although I do not anticipate any really serious overclocking.

All recommendations, ideas and advice appreciated! :)

Thanks.

Thank you both for your very prompt replies.

Having had a quick look at the two models mentioned, I am initially attracted to the Scythe Shuriken Rev. B which, assuming there are no other components on the motherboard in close vicinity to get in the way of the fan, looks ideal for the job.

Hopefully it should be both quieter and more efficient than the stock Intel cooler?

Slight necro but ...

I recently bought a Scythe Shuriken Rev.B and I am very disappointed. I am running a i7 2600k no overclock and was worried with the temps going above 60 degrees occationally playing games like Civ 5 on the stock cooler.

I have just bought the Scythe Shuriken Rev.B and there is a tiny difference in temps. Not worth the money at all.

Anyone else think these coolers are a pile of poo?

I have a small case so can not fit the arctic cooler I original bought for it.

Have you considered a corsair Hydro product?

I have the H60 and the pump is very low profile, it also takes like 4mins to fit start to end :P
