Ideas for a new car ?

Hi Guys

At current im driving a Zetec S fiesta and im very very bored. Dont get me wrong its a great car and ive had a lot of fun but this is the second one ive owned and coming from a racing puma i need something a little more exciting.

I dont want to spend anymore money so my max budget is around £4000 but around £3750 would be perfect and it has to be insurable with Norwich union ( which isnt easy as im only 19 with 2 NCB ) Just looking for some ideas really , at the moment im looking at some 106 GTis

I was looking at 106 gti's then realised that a 306 GTi6 was only a fraction more to insure.

Just as fun but a bit more practicle and refined, very similar to your Racing Puma but not as expensive to run by the sounds of it :eek:

P.S - I might aswell mention the VTS too before fox jumps on me

just out of interest do you know how the handling compares between the 106gti and 306gti?

Never driven a 106 in anger to the limits but they're certainly up there with them. The 106 being nimbler due to weight but the 306 feeling more planted. They both share the good old lift-off oversteer tendencies so you have to be careful on the limit.

I am also inclined to say MR2 Turbo, why does it have to Norwich union cant you find someone else who will insure you.

Ive been with NU since september so id rather not lose the few months No Claims ive got.

What's wrong with the N/A? Pretty much as fast if not faster than any car you've mentioned or owned.

Dunno about Sam but I'd always be thinking "I wish I'd bought a turbo"

Yeah there's that i suppose, i just wish you could get Rev 5 Turbos, don't want a 1994

[edit] I suppose it depends on how old a car you're willing to get.
