Ideas for a support pole?

Hi,

I have a raven rv02 with a silver arrow, and because of the 90 degree rotation the silver arrow is not supported as well as it would be in a normal case.

I was thinking I could have a pole coming up from the base of the case that the fan could rest on to provide some more support.

Any ideas for what I could use?

Rod of balsa wood? Cheap, easy to cut, lightweight, and can't see any reason it wouldn't do the job. Just make sure your heat sink doesn't reach 200C and it won't catch on fire.

And support it from above I assume? That'll never hold it up from underneath

This would be a good 'stealth' fix as it wouldn't be so noticeable, but it'd be more fiddly to fit than a lump of wood

With that ninja wire, would it be ok to have it clipped to the actual heatsink?
