Ideas for this please...

Hi.
Ive moved my main speaker system away from my PC to around my telly.
So at the moment, my PC has no surround, but it still outputs 5.1, if that makes sence.
In other words, its still connected to my reciever as if the speakers were positioned with the PC in mind, although its not.
I plan on getting a second video card so i can output video to my telly. Now, with that, and the sound how it is, i can get the full 5.1 on the telly. But not on the PC itself. If that makes sence.
Is there a way i can hook up a second set of speakers to my computer, just some normal stereo ones, and have the PCs sound out of that, flick a switch, and then the sound goes to the reciever for 5.1 on the telly instead?

3.5mm splitter.

Use this on the front speakers so the front 2 of the 5.1 set and stereo speakers for the PC are plugged in at the same time via this adapter.

Turn off/on speakers as required and change speaker settings in Windows. Cheap, easy, effective.

Also, why do you need a second video card for the TV...are you running 2 monitors at the moment?

Yeah.
I plan on having my telly and main monitor on my primary video card (currently an X800XL), and use a second video card to power the second monitor. Im just waiting for that HIS PCI-E x1 to be released, as ive tryed a PCI based video card, but it just didnt work out right for some reason.
