Hi folks,

I've been running my E6600 at 3.6 with stock memory settings for around about a month now, and it's been solid as a rock. One thing I hadn't done was try and OC my Memory, so I've been trying to give that a go over the last few days. This morning I found a good combination of settings that allowed me to run my RAM at DDR2-1000, and MemTest had 0 errors over 100% coverage.

So this brings me to my question:

After running the successful MemTest, I tried to run Orthos blend but it locked up my PC after around 8 minutes. In my experience with this PC if a crash is due to RAM it'll give me a BSOD and restart itself... but this is just a lockup which means I have to reboot the PC myself otherwise it'll just sit there.

Is this caused by my RAM settings, or could it be that my CPU overclock isn't as stable now that I've tampered with the memory?

Any ideas are appreciated.

What Vcore are you running? If its 1.2~ like CPUZ says it might be worth upping a bit, then running Orthos.
