Im looking for a new graphics card I currently have the 580 phantom but i believe that might be whats causing me to crash now http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?p=28081377
I just plugged in the HDMI cable (ive always used the DVI cable) after taking graphics card out and reseated it etc. I turned pc back on and then windows couldnt load , turned pc off - put DVI cable back in and its fine
So im looking for a Nvidia GFX card in region of £200-£250 may go up to £300
Ive heard 970's are good but do have there problems so any help is greatly appreciated :)

i would say as long as you have somthing along the lines of a i5 the 970 is a solid choice. If your gaming @ 1080p then the problems you talk of (memory issue) is not going to affect you.

Don't worry about the memory on the 970. Have a read if you need some reassurance.

intel i5 3570k 3.4ghz (not sure its still overclocked to 4.4 since bios update)
gigabyte z77-d3h
corsair tx850
and 1080p resolution

Well im not sure what else i can do to see if its memory issue tbh, bought new ram still crashed, slightly upped the voltage, XMP profile gives me bluescreen

Couldn't recommend anything AMD at that price point tbh. Perhaps the vapor cooling 290 from Sapphire for quietness. I'd probably say the 970. Even get a couple of 960's go SLI for just over 300. (980 performance)

two of them for just over 300
hmm 960's are tempting, but if u were to pick at 970 which one would you go for? (any that come with the new batman game would be nice XD)
