At the moment I have my Xbox 360 plugged into my monitor via a VGA adapter and into the "line in" on my PC's sound card, so I can either have the sound coming through my speakers or if its late at night I can have the sound coming through my headset.

But I am about to purchase a ps3 to have along side the 360 (always wanted to play killzone2 and mgs4) and I don't fancy having to change round the wires every time I change consoles! So I am going to buy either a second, bigger monitor to replace my TV (I also connect my pc to my tv via s-video to watch movies in bed) or a tv with 2x hdmi and 1x dvi. But either way the sound will be disgusting! and the audio wires wont reach from my TV to my PC "line in".

So . . . this is where you guys come in! What are my options for having my 360, ps3 and maybe even my PC sound all set up in one?

Does your xbox have hdmi?

Your options are either to buy a cheap AV Amp. That way you could plug everything into that and then have single outputs to your tv/speakers

Or for a slightly cheaper option you could buy audio splitter and a HDMI splitter

Just buy a longer cable for the audio.....or am I missing something? Or an extension cable.

Most new TVs will have component, at least 1 HDMI and VGA meaning you can easily connect everything through the TV, then just run a cable form the TV to your PCs line in. That strikes me as odd though as your PC needs to be on to use anything else.

Why do you think that the sound from your TV will be disgusting compared to your PC speakers ?

I agree with Marv74 just go and buy a cheap AV amp, then run everything through the amp to the TV. This will give you future expandability and non-disgusting sound, should you wish.

Oh I have it set up through the pc since its connected to my monitor anyway (have a crappy CRT tv still as I use it like once a week)

I am only guessing that a flat screen's speakers wouldn't compare to a 2.1 setup?

I don't mind having the pc on to have sound from xbox since the pc is on just about 24/7.

Anyone recommend some products for me to have a look at?

You only have 3 devices as far as i can see, pc,xbox,ps3 they could all go into a new tv, if you have more then you could think about getting an av receiver as well. tv speakers will be 2.0 I believe.
