Identification please?

Hi guys i didnt know where to ask this question so put it in here. (If in the wrong place could a passing Don move it thanks ;))

I was upgrading the ram on mylaptop today and i noticed another connection in the bay next to the SODIMM slots.

Whats it for?? (see pic)

Any Ideas? The Packard bell support page gives no information whatso ever..
 
a second battery bay i think. either that or a 2nd hard drive bay. take a look at the connector, it should give it away, or count the number of pins and google " X (amount of pins) pin- laptop port" and you might find something useful. your manual might also have some useful info.
 
No- I'm pretty sure its a mini-pci slot for fitting an integrated wireless card. Have a look & see if there are bettter versions of yours with an integrated wireless NIC.
It won't be a HDD or battery connector- Far too small :)
