Sorry for the noob question but I cannot seem to find the information.

I have a computer I purchased cheap from a mate who said it has an R9 380X gpu inside, I've used GPUz, Speccy, Afterburner and the Catalyst Control panel and they all just say 380 Series.

The reason I ask is that the firestrike score is bang on what it should be for a 380 (non X) and it also says the GPU clock speed is 990Mhz when benching which I believe also points to it being a 380.

The thing is, that I have a warranty registration card that he got when he bought the machine new which clearly says XFX R9-380X-45 so im a bit confused.

What im looking for is, does anyone know of any software that will tell me the specific card instead of just the series?

Thanks in advance.

Mike

GPUz should show you the correct shader/TMU/ROPS config:

R9 380X - 2048 shaders 32 ROPs 128 TMUs
R9 380 - 1792 Shaders 32 ROPs 112 TMUs

Factory clock speed for both the 380 and 380X is the same (as far as I know) @ 970Mhz

Cheers for the suggestions guys, id looked on the card itself but no sticker, maybe it had come off over the years however GPUz does confirm its the 380X so thanks for this.

Now just to work out why its only scoring like a 380 in firestrike..

XFX sell both 380 and 380X models with a 990MHz base clock, so that doesn't rule anything out. GPU-Z would be the easiest way to check, as suggested above.

/edit/ Too late. :D

What and where are the results you're comparing too, Base cards with a core clock that matches your's or manually overclocked cards? Things such as cpu and OS only have a minimal affect on the graphics score but try to find examples where everything matches your set up including cpu/ cpu core clock etc.

I can't test it now but I did a Unigine Valley test on the Extreme HD preset on my cousin's PC, also with a 380X, and it scored 1626. This was with an i5-6600K at stock.
