Identify LZW compressed TIFFs?

I've got a folder structure that contains roughly 46,000 single and multipage TIFFs.

All of these TIFFs are supposed to be Group 4 compressed. Unfortunately it now seems that some have got through using LZW compression.

I need to find the offending files (probably only a few hundred) and convert them to Group 4.

Any suggestions?

Since this the programming forum ... couldn't you just write a small program to parse the TIFF compression tag(table further down page)? TIFF specs here.

Yes, I can write some code to do what I want.

I was just trying to avoid reinventing the wheel.
