Hi
Can anyone help me identify this ram? I believe it's faulty and needs replacing, it's got some markings on but I'm not sure how to interpret these? Presumably the make is Integral, but what type of chip, speed etc?

It's from an old custom build.

I think its just old DDR or DDR2 memory from what I can see but not 100% sure as the pictures you had taken are in two halfs other then showing the memory complete.
The best thing to do is look up the motherboard of the system and get its specs to see what memory it supports you should be able to get the memory type and speed from that.

Looks like DDR2 to me - what is the motherboard?

If the 667 on the sticker refers to frequency (could be a red herring) I will guess at DDR2 667mhz, probably 1 or 2gb capacity.

Hope that helps

Just buy a used 2gb 667MHz stick of ddr2 of an auction site. You can be 99% sure it'll be fine, if not, you only wasted like £5.

Thanks for all the replies so far. Here's a few more pics, the cpu is a Pentium dual core. Having trouble identifying the mobo too.

The problem is the computer isn't booting. On boot-up the screen remains black and you get 3 beeps from the internal speaker. I figured 3 beeps was a memory fault. I've swapped the gfx card for a different to rule that out, same problem.

I'll look at a cheap stick of ddr2 to try, thanks!

Looks very much like DDR2 to me. Fancy a trip over to Gillingham this weekend? I've got a box of random RAM that's got a few DDR, DDR2 and DDR3 sticks in that you are welcome to try to see if you can get any sign of life from the old beast without shelling out or waiting for the postman.

Drop me a Trust message if you want and I'll send you my address and phone number. :)

EDIT - D79951-406 on the motherboard links on Google to an Intel DG33BU motherboard, which lists DDR2 667/800 supported, so definitely looking like DDR2 RAM.

I just checked, the mobo has DG33BU on it, near the pci slots.

I'll give the memory I found above a go. Gillingham isn't far as Im in maidstone, but I'm o we the drink limit already today and working on/off the next week. Thanks anyway :)
