I remember years ago getting something from Iceland or similar which was filthy but tasty. They were frozen strips of 'meat', about 6 inches long and were shaped like a chocolate bar, i.e. in segments. I think they were flavoured as spare ribs or some form of oriental cuisine. You could do them under the grill and either stick them in between bread or eat them on their own.

They were filthy, synthetic and full of crap but they were gorgeous.

Anyone know what they are called?

I know what you're talking about too. I think they're supposed to be some sort of 'grillsteaks'.

They are gorgeous though.. On a barm with a few chips, plenty of salt, perhaps a bit of brown sauce....

Gah, i'm hungry now, damn you!

Yes I think they called them 'pork ribsteaks' in the vein hope you would be able to identify them as being actual meat.

Yuk

I would serve them at room temperature in the box on a bed of old newspaper and eggshells. Sprinkle with used teabags and add an empty carton of milk.

:p

I love those. Only the Chinese ones though; the BBQ ones suck ass.

In fact, we have some of those in the freezer IIRC, I'll be joining you with Dalepaks' finest crap, tonight!

Phil.

I worked at Dalepak for a couple of weeks one summer. The stuff's not too bad, just stay away from "Ross" brand. It's nasty.
